Sun up, charge up
A new way to think about workplace charging.
Off-Grid = No Utility BillUtility costs only get more and more expensive. Our SEVO charging stations charge Electric Vehicles without any grid power and have zero utility costs.
No Installation CostsProviding EV chargers for your employees shouldn’t come at the expense of other projects. That’s why we cover all installation, equipment, and permitting costs. You just pay a low monthly fee per space.
No Electrical UpgradesGrid connected chargers require a hefty investment in electrical infrastructure. SEVO is self contained and ready to deploy quickly and cost effectively.
Power Outage? Not us.As reliable as your electricity supply may feel, outages do happen. This is a real vulnerability for EV’s, especially when the power is out for days. SEVO could be your lifesaver.
How many parking spaces are included with one SEVO?
Which EV's are compatible with SEVO?
At present, SEVO provides off-grid charging for the following EV makes and models with fast charge ports.
- BMW i3
- Chevrolet Bolt
- Chevy Spark EV
- Ford Focus Electric
- Kia Soul EV
- Nissan Leaf
- Tesla Model S
- Tesla Model X
- VW eGolf
Looking ahead to future years, more and more EV’s are switching to DC chargers, especially longer range models. Here are the additional makes and models that have been confirmed:
- Audi Electric SUV (2018 – yet to be named)
- Hyundai Ioniq Electric (2017)
- Mercedes Benz – All EV models (2018)
- Tesla Model 3 (2017 estimated)
How many miles per day does SEVO generate?
The short answer is “enough to cover the average commute”. There are a number of variables when it comes to EV charging. The amount of charge required varies based on how depleted a given car’s battery is when plugged in, the make and model of the car, and the output of the charger itself. However, in general, the average commute in the US is 15 miles one way [Link]. Therefore, workplace charging should provide enough charge to cover those 15 miles.
For SEVO, rather than drawing charge from the grid as needed, the sun charges your car throughout the day. While the amount of charge will vary between summer and winter, as well as cloudy versus sunny days, SEVO is designed to always be generating charge.
For Sunnyvale, CA as an example, a single SEVO generates an average of 169 miles per day, or 28.1 miles per space per day.
