Solar EV Charging — With or Without the Grid

PairTree is Paired Power’s pop-up solar EV charging canopy, designed to make clean EV charging possible even where conventional electrical infrastructure is limited—or completely unavailable.

Each PairTree combines bifacial solar generation, battery energy storage and one or two Level 2 EV chargers in a compact system that fits within a standard parking space.

One of PairTree’s biggest advantages is flexibility.

PairTree can operate independently from the electric grid, using solar power and onboard battery storage to provide EV charging in locations where bringing in utility power would be expensive, slow or impractical.

But PairTree doesn’t have to be completely off-grid.

Even a relatively small grid connection can dramatically expand the amount of charging energy available. PairTree can combine available grid power with energy generated by its solar canopy and stored in its battery, while Paired Power’s intelligent energy management technology optimizes how that energy is generated, stored and delivered to vehicles.

That means a site doesn’t necessarily need a major utility upgrade or a large electrical service to provide useful EV charging capacity.

Built for Flexible, Rapid-Deployment EV Charging

PairTree was designed for organizations that want to add EV charging without taking on the complexity of a traditional solar canopy and charging infrastructure project.

• 5.3 kW equivalent bifacial solar capacity
• Up to 42.4 kWh of battery storage
• One or two Level 2 EV charging ports
• J1772 or J3400/NACS charging connectors
• Fully off-grid operation
• Optional 240V grid connectivity
• A self-contained footprint designed around a standard parking space
